How can we enable 2 Step Verification on Instagram?

So as we talked about in the previous article that how can we enable two step verification on Gmail, you showed a lot of love on that article and many people had a query that how can we enable two step verification on Instagram. So keeping this in mind, we have written this article, so today in this article we will talk about how we can enable two-step verification on Instagram. 

So, to enable two-step verification on Instagram, you need to follow some simple steps which we have explained to you below  .

#Steps to enable 2 Step verification in Instagram

• Open “Instagram” and Tap on your “Profile Icon”
• Tap on “3 Line Toggel” above
• Tap on “Settings and privacy” and Click on “Accounts Centre” above
• Tap on “Password and security” and Click on “Two-factor authentication”
• Select your “Instagram Account”
• Choose “Security Method” and Click on “Next” button
• Enter “OTP” and Click on “Next” button
• Get your “Backup Codes” and Click on “Next” button
• Enter you “Email I’d” for Backup (optional)

And if you want to know all these steps in detail, then we have tried to explain all these steps to you in the simplest language below.

Step 1 : Open “Instagram” and Tap on your “Profile Icon”

So in the first step, you have to open your Instagram in your mobile and after opening it, simply click on your “Profile Icon” below as you can see in the given image.

Step 2 : Tap on “3 Line Toggel” above

And after clicking on the profile icon, you will reach your profile page in which you have to click on the “3 Line Toggle ” on the top right side.

Step 3 : Tap on “Settings and privacy” and Click on “Accounts Centre” above

And after clicking on the toggle icon, you will see many options in front of you, out of which you have to click on the first option which is “Settings and privacy”.

And after clicking on the settings and privacy option, you will get the first option of “Accounts Centre” on which you have to click as you can see in the image.

Step 4 : Tap on “Password and security” and Click on “Two-factor authentication”

And now after clicking on the account center, many settings will open in front of you, from which you have to click on the option of “Password and security”. 

And after clicking on the password and security option, you will see the option of “Two-factor authentication” there, on which you have to click.

Step 5 : Select your “Instagram Account“

And after clicking on the two-factor authentication option, all your “Instagram Accounts Show” will be displayed in front of you, from which you have to select your Instagram account on which you want to enable two-factor authentication.

Step 6 : Choose “Security Method” and Click on “Next” button

And after clicking on your selected account, now you have to select your favorite “Security Method” through which you want to put security on your account and in this you will get three options which are given below.

Authentication app

In the authentication app option, you will be able to login  to your Instagram account on any other mobile phone using Instagram’s “Authentication app”. If you select this option, Instagram will later ask you to download its authentication app on another mobile device, which will allow you to log in to your Instagram account using that app.

Text message (SMS)

And if you select the text message option, you will have to enter your mobile number here, on which you will receive an OTP whenever you log in to your Instagram account.And I would personally suggest you to select the “Text Message” option only, because it is very easy to use and with this you will be able to login to your Instagram account very quickly.

WhatsApp

And if you select the WhatsApp option, you will also receive an OTP, but this OTP will not come to your mobile number but to “WhatsApp”.And after selecting any security method as per your choice, simply click on the “Next” button below you.

Step 7 : Enter “OTP” and Click on “Next” button

And now after clicking on the next button, an “OTP” will come on your number, and this OTP will come on the number which you must have entered while creating your Instagram account.

– You can Change the Number also

And if you want, you can also change your number. To change your number, you simply have to click on the button below Next, which is “Change Phone Number” and after clicking on it, you simply have to enter your new number there.

And after entering the OTP, simply click on the Next button below you as you can see in the image below.

Step 8 : Get your “Backup Codes” and Click on “Next” button

And after clicking on the next button, your backup codes will appear in front of you, to see which you will have to click on the “backup codes” button in front of you.And after viewing and copying the backup codes, simply click on the “next” button below you.

Step 9 : Enter you “Email I’d” for Backup (optional)

And after clicking on the next button, a new page will open in front of you in which you have to enter your “Email Id “. This means that if you do not have your mobile number which you have entered earlier then you can get the OTP with the help of this email ID. 

This will allow you to log in to your Instagram account, and this is an optional setting. You can skip it if you wish. To skip , simply click the “Skip” button below.

And if you want to add your email ID, then simply write your email ID in the box above and then simply click on the “Next” button below and your 2 Step Verification will be turned on here.
